    Prolonged jaundice
Advise how to be. The child has jaundice. Starting somewhere from two weeks we treat it first with a yarn, then changed it to hepel. At one and a half month they donated blood for bilirubin and made a liver ultrasound. Everything is fine with the liver, and bilirubin was 84. The pediatrician sent us to the hospital. But they didn’t accept us there and said that they don’t use bilirubin with such indicators. They said they should continue to drink hepel and added biforms to make the child eat well. We did just that.
Who is right? Local pediatrician or a hospital doctor? The child is already 2 months old, and jaundice is still noticeable. Maybe you need to apply some more radical measures?

Girls, thanks for your advice. Some water and
I will consult with the doctor at the expense of the sorbent.

did not read everything, but did uv irradiation?
we had bilirubin 198 a month and a half, sent to IPAG, retraded almost the same indicators, did not hospitalize, gave heppel, smectu, took sunbath under ultraviolet and stopped GW (!) after 5 days bilirubin was 50. The doctor was unanimous that from GW we have this and we switched to IW.Yes, I was then 37 years old, so the doctors listened to this and decided to switch to a mixture. This is very rare. And I would recommend you to ask the pediatrician about sunbathing under UV, and even intravenous glucose drip, but this is too much for me

Well, I wrote to consult a doctor. Our jaundice declined only after the addition of ursofalk
        Water, note, gave.
And I was prescribed during B as one of the few approved drugs.

Alla, how can a 2-month-old baby drink water?
Is it not harmful at that age?
        • Hydroplane03/08/2011 00:31:24
IMHO, but water can not be much more harmful than chemical preparations :) +
          sunshine, fresh air, walks.
In the end, the hospital doctor knows better, the district police officers are often reinsured.
I watered from a bottle, from a drinking trough - on a sip.
Maybe more girls will tell who have more experience.

This is not a high bi-ililubin, so it is not hospitalized. You do everything right
You can consult your doctor about adding a sorbent and Ursofalk (a very good drug for the liver). Now the sun has appeared, walk more. We, too, in 2 months.sent to hospitalization, in the hospital said they did not need.

We were once discharged from the hospital with bilirubin 180
and everyone happily congratulated that he has become so low at last. They were admitted to hospital for the first time from 263, the second - 254 (three days after discharge after the first hospitalization).
    • Natalie_S03/07/2011 at 18:08:15
maybe one or two pediatricians to consult.
I do not think that the doctor from the hospital is wrong, to whom, if not he knows better, besides, the hospital is an additional infection.
      Be more in the sun

we had a much higher rate
zheltushka was up to 3.5 months somewhere.
from what helped. water. as soon as I began to drink a lot of ordinary water, improvement was immediately apparent. + sorbent. we tried to drink enterosgel, but it was heavy for us, so I replaced it with polysorb. drank Hepel, but somehow I did not see any obvious improvements.
drank about 100 ml of water per day. drank from the bottle.
      on GV did not affect.

Well, of course, there can be many reasons. But the main few. A man does not call because he does not need you, he does not like you, he is not interested in you. Or he died.

My daughter was hospitalized with bilirubin 280.
Day under the lamp and a couple of droppers. As soon as the bilirubin began to fall, we went home. We left with the bilirubin 190. In addition, I did not drink anything, only breast milk, and of course the sun. gradually everything returned to normal.

we had a similar situation - jaundice lasted up to 3.5 months.
the cause could not be determined, there are consequences.
From my experience, I can advise you to drink it with water and, as you can, you can try to give it from a teaspoon, you can, little by little, drop it directly into your mouth from a syringe (without a needle, of course). But be sure to drink it, there will be no harm from water, but bilirubin is taken out by water, but not milk!
We personally had jaundice only after a course of enterosgel - forcibly poured into the mouth, the child resisted very strongly, but there was no time to try to drink water with water - it was the fourth month and complications came from the central nervous system.
Also - my child was on HB, perhaps the reason was this - I have 4 grams. blood, he - 2, but in this matter I am not strong.

        +1 for осnterosgel ()
      • Hydroplane03/08/2011 00:33:10
+ 1 to the sorbent, if there is no constipation, but I can advise a soft option - Polysorb, +
1 teaspoon of powder for 30-40 ml of water, pleasant, gentle.

        girls, better :)

We were helped by weaning for 1 week (fed with a mixture)
Then they returned the chest - everything is fine.

for my two, the dock was protracted — up to 3 months, they didn’t lish anything, because she left.
My sign with bilirubin 300 was placed in the hospital. After jaundice, there may be low hemoglobin and it is difficult to rise.

      feed + feed
The main thing is that the child gains weight well. Plus a meeting (we gave smekta). However, it did not help us much. In the month of bilirubin was 228. Got to Okhmatdet with another problem, and left there for 5 days because of bilirubin. 5 days of droppers and discharged us with bilirubin 138. The main thing is to decrease. The houses on citrargenine were spent another 20 days.
